Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do adoptions?
Unfortunately, at this time we are no longer processing adoptions. Taiwan recently changed their adoption laws, so we are now operating only as a licensed orphanage.
We do, however, hope to apply for the Taiwan adoption license within the near future. The licensing process will likely take a couple years, and once we are licensed to handle adoptions, we will likely be required to do local Taiwanese adoptions for three years before we can expand internationally. How can I volunteer?
If you are interested in volunteering, please note the following:
- We request that our volunteers come at regularly scheduled times (for example, every Tuesday afternoon).
- Our volunteer acceptance process requires an application, references, a background check, and a short interview.
- Please note that we are located in a rural area without access to public transportation and once you are accepted, you must provide your own transportation to our location.
Please fill out the preliminary volunteer form under our "Volunteer" tab and we will contact you with an application. Thank you!
How can I visit the orphanage?
To make an appointment for a visit, please fill out the form on our "Volunteer" page and note that you are interested in visiting.
Can I donate through Paypal?
Due to Taiwan laws, we have not been able to set up a paypal account for direct donations. Please send your money donations through The Great Commission Foundation. We will update our site if there are any changes.
